How I spent Easter: Body painting fun and photography

April 12th, 2009

Hi everyone!

What did I do for Easter?  Well, I did some photography (like usual) on subjects that have been completely covered in body paint (not so usual) so.. I am blogging about body paint.  Number 1: it is messy. Number 2: it is messy. Number 3: be prepared for a super long day if you are going to be body painted or just hang out with someone who is going to be body painted.  The first, Margaret, had an abstract type of design on her body. I had a great time designing the hair and the wardrobe to go with it. I had this red and black hat in my wardrobe and I had this wedding dress that April (from Salon Kerizma)  gave me a while ago and so..I turned it inside out and stuck it on Margaret.  Anyway…I thought it came out quite nicely.

The next body paint for the day was Ashley.   She had to stand up for 8 hours straight in order to get painted. NO SITTING. NO KNEELING…. holy cow. I could not do it.  I have to say…wow, was it worth it.  Her zebra body paint was spectacular. Zeke from MAC cosmetics did her makeup too (like he did for Margaret) and Eric from Avant Salon did the hair-well done Fellas!  Side note: That hair did not come down after the photoshoot.  It was up there with so much gel and hairspray that we actually pressed it down just to watch it go back up on its own :)

Well,  that concludes “how I spent my Easter”.    Until next time..
