Model Portfolio: Melissa

Hello everyone.  It has been a while since my last blog-why? Okay. So I apparently am allergic to shrimp.  Went to the hospital after eating it.  Apparently, shrimp must have touched something else two nights later at the restaurant because I went back into the  ER again. There are sick people in the ER so, while I am there, I catch a lovely flu that goes untreated because how were we to know that I got sick. the flu turned into a lovely little pneumonia withn two days.  So, this whole ordeal took a little time to get over   but I am pretty good now.  Aaaanywho..

So.. have you ever done something and at the end, it was so perfect that you were completely satisfied and if you never did anything again, it would be ok?  Well, that happened to me this week.  I had the pleasure of photographing Melissa this week. Melissa is a model and she takes her career very seriously and she needed to update her portfolio. Models…invest in your portfolio-that makes a huge difference in your future bookings.  Book a hairdresser and book a makeup artist too because those two services are SOOO needed.  

So…who was the team that took care of Melissa?  Jonnie Iglesias on hair duty.  I had never worked with Jonnie before but I have to say-Jonnie, you are awesome and I love your skills!  Maris Malone Calderon on makeup duty. I love Maris, we work SOO many jobs together: model, portraits, weddings, bridals, engagement-whatever. She is so awesome!!!  Maris and I styled the wardrobe for Melissa and I think it came out beautiful. 

Anyway, I took one photo of her in black and white and it is my favorite photo -OF THE YEAR. I don’t know why but I loooove it.  So, it is the first photo below. The others are  beautiful as well but man oh man do I love the first one, do you? Enjoy!
