Portrait session in Grand Cayman

Wow, where did the time go? I know that I have not blogged in a while. I mean to but life is just so busy.  I am writing this blog while in the Cayman Islands. Came down for a little work and a lot of play. Next week, I will be speaking at the SYNC conference in Florida and I am looking forward to that.  For all my faithful readers, I am so sorry it has been so long. I just realized that my last blog was the beginning on December. The thing is that time slipped away from my hands and went down the drain.

Anyway.. thought you might appreciate a new blog with a lovely subject.  I am writing this to you from Grand Cayman where I have been able to mix business with pleasure and that is always nice. the business always feels like pleasure anyway since it is photography and that is what i love to do all the time. Anyway, it was a lovely day down here yesterday and here are her portraits. I have another session this afternoon with someone else but I had a few minutes to slip this blogpost in.

I love old and I had this vision of an old french postcard when I saw what she was wearing. I had to have her keep her dress on for the first shot. After that, wardrobe change for some close ups. It was the last part of the day, the sunlight was gorgeous. I had no reflectors with me here and photos with hats are always a little challenging so, I sat her right on the edge of the beach where the water would roll in (her bum got wet but it was worth it) and I could use the reflection of the sunlight from the water to reflect back up into her face for some fill light. I am happy with these portraits and she says that she is too :)
